Editorial: All staff members in Maya participate in editorial. With hundreds of submissions each year (we had over 200 for 2010′s writing contest!), it takes a lot of dedication and cooperation to decide what makes it into Maya. Through meetings in the office and ranking pieces individually, Maya always ensures that the best of the year’s submissions from our fellow Drexel students are included in the latest issue!
Managerial: Event planning, PR, advertising, finances and budgeting, and fundraising. Every business function and task to get the magazine printed is taken on by the managerial team!
Creative: Design the layout of Maya, create fliers and advertisements around campus. These staff members cruise through crunch time to quickly have items and the magazine ready for print once all materials are collected!
Web Development: The Maya website needs constant maintenance for promoting upcoming events, publishing pieces and keeping fans interested through regular blogging. We also provide updates and fun content on our Facebook page and our online galleries.
Community: Lead volunteer opportunities and outreach to other literary magazines!
