Painted Bride Quarterly reading at Perch Pub

The Painted Bride Quaterly is hosting a poetry reading at Perch Pub on April 10th from 8pm to 10pm.  The event will feature two readers, Laura Spagnoli and Kim Gek Lin Short.

Laura Spagnoli is the author of the chapbook My Dazzledent Days (ixnay press, 2012). Her poems have appeared in various places, including Jupiter 88,ONandOnScreen, and The Apiary, and her story “A Cut Above” was published in the collection Philadelphia Noir. She lives in Philadelphia and teaches French at Temple University.

Kim Gek Lin Short is the author of The Bugging Watch & Other Exhibits and China Cowboy, both from Tarpaulin Sky Press, and the chapbooks The Residents (dancing girl press) and Run (Rope-a-Dope), a Golden Gloves winner. Her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in numerous publications like Action Yes, Caketrain, and No Tell Motel, and in anthologies like Narrative (Dis)Continuties: Prose Experiments by Younger American Writers. She lives with her family in Philadelphia.
