One of my favorite poets, John Vick, recently released a new chapbook of poetry entitled Chaperones of a Lost Poet. I became familiar with Vick’s poetry when I joined the ediorial team at Press 1; he was published in vol. 2, issue 1. Vick was also published in The Mad Hatter Review and Flutter.
Chaperones of a Lost Poet is actually one long poem in which the narrator contemplates his sense of self and life choices. Vick has a way with combining syntax and imagery to create poems with remarkable texture. Go to John Vick for more information and read some of his poems in Press 1.
